I think a wide range of human animal interactions are relevant regardless of the type, strength or even absence of bond.

The World Meat Congress may seem to be rather tangential to the human-animal bond, but many issues related to the HAB are discussed there. Specifically, the relationships between livestock and their handlers as well as consumers are discussed, including issues of animal welfare and epidemiology.
