One of the areas researchers increasingly explore is the similarities between human and canine medical conditions. Here’s an article about such an example: The researchers originally were looking at a fatal disease in young children but put a worldwide call to veterinarians to determine if a similar condition occurred in animals which it does. As a result, the understanding of the disease and its causes advances more quickly than it would have otherwise.
