Abstract

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in therapy dogs. Is your dog social? At least a year old? A people lover? Well-mannered? Comfortable around other dogs? Then becoming a Therapy Dog team with Welcome Waggers may be just right for you!

Welcome Waggers is a local volunteer therapy dog group serving Corvallis and the surrounding areas of Oregon. We are all registered members of the national organisation, Therapy Dogs Incorporated®.

Our member teams visit retirement homes, assisted living and memory care facilities, schools, hospitals, anywhere people could use some affection and comfort from a dog. Some of us also participate in the READ® program (Reading Education Assistance Dogs®), in which therapy dogs help children improve their reading and communication skills. We specialize in bringing smiles and joy to others!
