About the Group

Public Description

The HABRI Foundation’s Research Workgroup exists to:

Identify scientific, medical and economic evidence of the human and animal health benefits resulting from pet ownership and other human-animal interactions.

Establish evidence that animal-assisted therapies are effective, medically sound and a good economic return on investment.

Communicate with local, state and national governments to address issues dealing with animal control management, animal welfare organizations, and public and mental health as it relates to pet ownership.
