    Juliann Steinbeigle MA, LCPC, LMHC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the stat of Indiana. She currently serves as the Illinois National Guard State Director of Psychological Health (ILNG DPH). She provides assessment, direct services and referral to service members experiencing anxiety, anger, combat stress, PTSD, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation/attempts. She works with Illinois National Guard Command to develop and implement programs that enhance resiliency and readiness of all Illinois National Guard Servicemembers and their families.  Previous to this position she worked as the Illinois Northern Region Military and Family Life Consultant (MFLC) providing short-term solution focused counseling and referral to Servicemembers and their families.  She earned her Masters Degree in Community Counseling in 1997 from Governors State University.  She has worked in private practice as a Clinical Counselor, as well as working in a Community Agency capacity as Director of Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Services and Prevention Coordinator for an Adolescent Treatment Program. She currently is working to complete her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision through Capella University with coursework and doctoral comprehensive exam completion December 2015. Her dissertation topic is animal assisted therapy – counseling / counselor animal partner interactions.
