Alex Kacelnik is Professor of Behavioral Ecology at the University of Oxford , UK.
His interest is to understand animal behavior in light of the ecological problems that evolution presents species in their natural circumstances. After studying biology at the University of Buenos Aires , Alex did his doctorate at Oxford. He has worked as a researcher at Groningen , Berlin , Cambridge and , since 1990 , director of the Research Group in Behavioral Ecology at the university. He was honored with awards from the Comparative Cognition Society, the Cogito Foundation, the Argentina Society for Neuroscience , and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of London.
