Abstract

The horse industry uses fear and pain as a motivator when training the horse, hence the term, “Breaking the Horse”. BWC2 subscribes to a different philosophy with our TCR (Trust, Confidence and Respect) Horsemanship. We communicate on a level that the horse understands by using positive energy with intent. Every second we are with a horse, the horse is learning something, whether we realize it or not. It is a horse after all. TCR horsemanship turns every scenario into an educational experience which enables a greater understanding for the horse to know what it is that we are asking.
To our knowledge, BWC2 is the only 501(c)3 non-profit Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation Facility / Sanctuary that does the following:

  •  BWC2 teaches TCR Horsemanship to our American Veterans and First Responders for FREE.
  •  The Veterans and First Responders play an intricate role in the horse’s rehabilitation process.
  •  BWC2 believes an American Veteran or First Responder can come and participate as little or as much as they would like.
  •  BWC2 uses our rehabilitated horses in our Children’s program.
  •  BWC2 gives horseback riding lessons for FREE to all Special Needs & Disabled children.
  •  BWC2 believes a Special Needs & Disabled child can come up and ride as little or as much as they would like.
  •  As BWC2 grows and needs to hire a staff, who better to hire than an American Veteran or First Responder who has already gone through our TCR Horsemanship Program.
  •  Gives horseback riding lessons to the general public for a modest fee
