Abstract

The regulator dog, used for its ability as an intraspecific socialisor, was the subject of a prospective study of various canine professionals. This enabled the profile, uses and effectiveness of the regulator dog to be defined. The survey also showed that, although there are various opposing ideas between different professionals on the methods of education or canine rehabilitation, there is agreement that the regulator dog is a real ethological aid for the canine professional.
