Abstract

We are a non-profit organization founded in 1985 that brings pets to those who need them throughout the Delaware Valley. Our mission is to enable people to lead happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives through interaction with companion animals.

  • We provide Pet Visitation programs to nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, senior centers and mental health facilities.
  • We offer a Read to Pet Pals program to schools and libraries, which enables children to improve their literacy skills and self-esteem by reading to a loving audience of dogs and other pets.
  • To help students relieve stress, PFL pets visits colleges during final exams to interact with the students.
  • We can also provide private visits to the homebound and pet teams to assist psychologists and psychiatrists with private patients. Please call for more information about private visits.
