Heart Therapeutic Riding and Equine Rescue is a 501c3, nonprofit, charitable organization that provides Therapeutic Horsemanship activities to individuals with emotional and physical disabilities. We also rescue, rehabilitate, and relocate neglected horses in western PA. Some of these neglected horses are used in our horse therapy program after they are rehabilitated. Horsemanship activities are very therapeutic to those suffering from emotional and physical disabilities. Working with horses promotes exercise, builds confidence, encourages teamwork, soothes tension, and so much more. This year we have added a group of individuals to our program that suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. Our organization was formed in September 2005.
