Abstract

The Staten Island Recreational Association (SIRA) is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit organization located in Staten Island, New York. SIRA provides equine assisted activities to children with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities. Our programs include Therapeutic Riding, Hippotherapy, and Equine Assisted Activities. SIRA is a PATH intl. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) center member. This accreditation process recognizes that SIRA has met established industry standards in administrative, facility, and program areas.
