Abstract

Canines For Christ is a faith based Pet Therapy group, showing Christian love through giving and acting. Our first priority is the people we help.

Our primary focus is to get dogs and their handlers into the community visiting locations such as nursing homes, libraries, hospice, and many other locations.  We also run training classes throughout the year (one hour, once a week, for 8 weeks) geared toward helping our teams get through basic Obedience Training, and preparing them for taking the AKC Canine Good Citizen test.  Once the team has successfully passed the Canine Good Citizen test, they can be placed with an existing team to be mentored prior to doing visits on their own.
