1St Responder Canine (FRK9) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides purpose bred Service Dogs to First Responders that have incurred life altering injuries to include: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and/or physical mobility disabilities.  FRK9 Service Dogs are given to qualified First Responder applicants.  Additionally, our dogs are placed within departments where they are assigned to Clinicians, and Peer Support Officers that utilize them to assist with deescalating stress / anxiety, victim interviews as well as community outreach.
