Dogs for GRETA trains psychiatric service dogs for survivors of sexual assault diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Our mission is to provide support and advocacy for these survivors.

Psychiatric service dogs are trained to support their handler by performing tasks directly related to their handler’s disability, such as interrupting a panic attack or reminding them to take medication. Most psychiatric service dog training is reserved for veterans, leaving civilians with few options. Dogs for GRETA serves sexual assault survivors diagnosed with PTSD regardless of military standing. Furthermore, Dogs for GRETA differs from many other service dog training institutions by assisting the client with training their own service dog from the ground up.
